St. Peter's Vestry

The vestry consists of two (2) wardens and nine (9) vestrypersons. These are all elected positions, with the elections held at our Annual Election Meeting in early January each year.

blue marble button for list item Resignations are handled by electing a replacement for the remainder of a term at the annual meeting. If a vacancy occurs early in a term, a replacement may be appointed by the vestry until the next election.
blue marble button for list item Wardens and vestry may serve for two consecutive terms, and then must "sit out" for at least one year before they can be elected again.
blue marble button for list item The parish treasurer, if not currently an elected vestry member, serves as as "ex-officio" member of the vestry. He/she is expected to attend all vestry meetings.
blue marble button for list item The vestry clerk is an appointed position.
blue marble button for list item Meetings are normally held in the parish office after church on the third Sunday of each month. They usually last less than two hours.
