The vestry consists of two (2) wardens and nine (9) vestrypersons. These are all elected positions, with the elections held at our Annual Election Meeting in early January each year.
The wardens serve for two years, and the terms are staggered; one
warden position is up for election each year.
The vestry positions are three years long, and the terms are staggered;
three vestry positions are up for election each year.
Resignations are handled by electing a replacement for the remainder
of a term at the annual meeting. If a vacancy occurs early in a term, a
replacement may be appointed by the vestry until the next election.
Wardens and vestry may serve for two consecutive terms, and then must
"sit out" for at least one year before they can be elected again.
The parish treasurer, if not currently an elected vestry member, serves as
as "ex-officio" member of the vestry. He/she is expected to attend all
vestry meetings.
The vestry clerk is an appointed position.
Meetings are normally held in the parish office after church on the third
Sunday of each month. They usually last less than two hours.
